The Western Pennsylvania Council of HBCU Alumni consists of alumni and supporters who reside in Western Pennsylvania or other states but make it a point to return to the area to dedicate their time to promoting HBCUs, fostering student academic achievement, and ensuring successful college completion. The primary objective of this organization is to actively engage with the community, recruit students, promote academic success, and facilitate college completion throughout Western Pennsylvania, all while upholding the scholarship, legacy, and tradition of the nation's historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Our overarching vision is to provide all students equal access to post-secondary education, regardless of their GPA or SAT/ACT scores. We are committed to meeting the unique needs of students by assisting them with HBCU enrollment and guiding them in selecting the institution that best aligns with their educational and career aspirations, cultural and social requirements, and their family's financial contributions.
